SALT UNION LIMITED - WINSFORD ROCK SALT MINE

Salt Union Limited invited Horizon Conveyor Equipment, along with two competitors, to provide belt cleaning devices for the conveyors in the crushing plant in our Winsford Rock salt mine.

Following a trial of all three company products, the contract was awarded to Horizon. The product has proved to be a thoroughly efficient belt cleaning device, cutting down our spillage problems and hence our clean up time drastically. It is long lasting, maintenance-free and is compatible with our conveyor system. As well as being a superior product the Horizon scrapers are by far the most attractive from a cost point of view.

In addition to the quality of the product, Horizon's impressive on-site team provide excellent service, instant back-up and are very safety conscious whilst carrying out their duties. To date Horizon have fitted 11 scrapers of varying sizes and it is my intention to install their product throughout the mine and to instigate a service and maintenance contract. Horizon are also quoting for jobs in other areas including belt alignment and skirting.
